In 2024, the results improved significantly across all categories, with an overall score of 82 out of 100. The environment was once again the highest-rated category, scoring 90 out of 100.
ESL Shipping has consistently improved its overall score in every assessment conducted. The first assessment in 2022 resulted in a Silver medal with a score of 66 points. Last year, the rating improved to Gold, with a score of 72 points.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings, with over 130,000 companies evaluated. The comprehensive assessment takes into account various factors, including the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, providing a holistic view of a company’s sustainability performance. EcoVadis’ methodology is based on international sustainability standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO standards. The Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four key themes.
