Alfa Laval to supply first systems for ammonia-fuelled marine vessels by end of 2025

In partnership with Swiss engine designer WinGD, Alfa Laval has delivered two test systems for WinGD’s ammonia-fuelled engines, including a fuel valve train and a vent treatment system.

Electramar christened in Helsinki

Electramar, the first of twelve plug-in hybrid vessels for ESL Shipping’s subsidiary AtoB@C Shipping was christened in the city centre of Helsinki on May 15th with a traditional ceremony celebrated by clients, stakeholders and employees. Following the old maritime tradition, a bottle of sparkling wine was smashed against the vessel’s bow to bring good luck and safe travels to the vessel and its crew.
