Denmark’s Port of Esbjerg has shared a photograph showing components for more than 100 offshore wind turbines ready for installation in the North Sea stored in the port area.

In 2016, estimated 1.1 GW offshore wind will be shipped from the Port of Esbjerg, and so far 0.75 GW onshore wind have passed the quays in Esbjerg in 2016, the port said.

Siemens has also used the Port of Esbjerg as a pre-assembly site for the recently completed 600MW Gemini offshore wind farm in the Netherlands, and the 288MW Sandbank offshore wind farm in the German part of the North sea.
