The event brings together students, researchers, industry professionals, and authorities to discuss current research topics in shipping and marine industries.

The seminar highlights professional skills and areas of interest that will be needed in these sectors in the future, both in academia and in industry.
The grants awarded in 2025 will be celebrated and some of the ongoing research projects will be presented.
The seminar will take place at the House of Science and Letters (Tieteiden talo), Kirkkokatu 6, Helsinki. Participation is free of charge.
This year also marks the celebration of the Foundation’s 80-year history – The Finnish Maritime Foundation has supported academic research and other activities related to shipping and marine technology since 1945.
