Sweden’s Stena RoRo has reached an agreement with the Finnish shipping company Godby Shipping to long-term charter their three RoRo vessels: Misida, Misana and Miranda.
The multipurpose vessels can be employed in both the Stena RoRo and the Stena Line networks.
The fixtures are the first to be based on the Bimco ROPAXTIME charter-party, which was launched at the end of June and specifically developed for the RoRo/RoPax industry.
”We are very satisfied with the agreement, which we believe is clearly in tune with the times in relation to the market situation. We note that growth in our niche is good and we are optimistic about the future,” said Per Westling, Managing Director, Stena RoRo.
The 166-meter-long Misida, Misana and Miranda were built at the German shipyard J.J. Sietas KG Schiffswerft GmbH in 2007. The 11,407 vessels have a RoRo capacity of 2,150 lane meters and can reach the speed of 20 knots.
