MacGregor wins hatch cover contract for six more container ships from Japan

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract for the design and delivery of key components and the fabrication of steel structures for the hatch covers on board six 14,000 TEU container vessels under construction at Japan Marine United’s (JMU) Kure shipyard. The order was booked into third quarter 2015 order intake.

The 14,000 TEU vessels are being built for an undisclosed Japanese owner. The delivery of the vessels is scheduled from 2016 through 2018. They will be deployed for the service between Far East and Europe.
